Punisher: War Zone Review

Much as how this summer's The Incredible Hulk tacitly acknowledged Ang Lee's previous film, Punisher: War Zone winks at its 2004 predecessor even as it alters elements of the title character's back-story established in the previous installment. Forsaking the origin story for an all-out action movie, Punisher: War Zone finds ex-soldier Frank Castle (Rome's Ray Stevenson, replacing Thomas Jane) several years into his "career" as the fearsome vigilante Punisher, who is armed to the teeth courtesy of "Microchip" (Wayne Knight).
