I admit it: I liked the first Madagascar. With so many animated films made each year, few of them avoid imparting any kind of wisdom to their audience thanks to their family-friendly bent. As such, it was refreshing to see an adventure that had almost no redeeming qualities other than the pure entertainment value that could be derived from bringing together the voice talents of Ben Stiller, Chris Rock, David Schwimmer, Sacha Baron Cohen, and Cedric the Entertainer.
