Not so much a retelling of the Jules Verne classic as a take-off on it, this 3-D version of Journey to the Center of the Earth posits that Verne's book was a memoir of an actual journey the author took to a world hidden within our own. The story revolves around geologist-academic Trevor Anderson (Brendan Fraser), who takes his teenage nephew Sean (Josh Hutcherson) along with him on an expedition to Iceland. (read more)
