Eckhart Discusses Dark Knight

By now, Aaron Eckhart is no stranger to moviegoers. After making a spectacular cinematic splash in In the Company of Men as a businessman who makes a misogynistic pact with a co-worker, he slowly regained audience sympathy with turns in high-profile films like Any Given Sunday, Erin Brockovich and The Core. More recently, he appeared as a tobacco lobbyist in Thank You For Smoking, sufficiently reminding viewers that at his best, he is a tarnished hero. Suffice it to say that he will have ample opportunities to explore this dichotomy again in the near future playing Harvey Dent, the District Attorney of Gotham who is later disfigured and transformed into Two-Face. During a visit to the Chicago set of The Dark Knight, IGN and a small group of online journalists enjoyed the chance to talk to Eckhart. In addition to discussing his future as a burn victim, Eckhart talked about Dent's philosophical underpinnings, his connection to Bruce Wayne and Batman and his potential future in the film series.
