School Ties(Film,1992)

Intelligent drama set in the 1950s, starring Brendan Fraser as David Greene, a high school kid who is head-hunted by a New England prep school which wants him to be its football team's new star quarterback. David arrives at the new school with high hopes, but also with one big secret - he is Jewish. At first he manages to shield his true identity from his new school friends, but eventually the truth comes out and David must face the pent-up prejudices of an anti-Semitic group of people. Even his room-mate and close friend Reece (Chris O'Donnell) is unsure of how to react when he realizes that he has been deceived by David.
