This biographical period drama cleverly mixes reality and fantasy to tell the real-life story of how people and events inspired JM Barrie to write the classic children's story Peter Pan.

Johnny Depp is superb as the Scottish playwright and author who, after his most recent play receives a lukewarm response, is disenchanted. Befriending widowed mother Sylvia Llewelyn Davies (Kate Winslet), he begins to regale her children with vividly imagined games, set in the world of Neverland. Highly recommended.
