Still fresh after all these years

Hailed as rock's first power trio, Cream formed in mid-1966. Comprising bassist Jack Bruce, drummer Ginger Baker and guitarist Eric Clapton, they played a blistering mix of blues, pop and psychedelic rock, sold more than 35 million albums and influenced countless generations of musicians. Together for just over two years, their decision to split in late 1968 - due to musical and personal differences - was a major shock.
Apart from a brief reunion in 1993 - when they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame - it seemed unlikely that Cream would ever return. However, in the spring of 2005, 37 years after they last worked together, Cream reunited to play four dates at London's Royal Albert Hall.
This programme features edited highlights of those extraordinary shows. Here they are seen playing such tracks as We're Going Wrong, N.S.U and the classic Sunshine Of Your Love. The programme also features the numbers Badge and Pressed Rat and Warthog, neither of which had ever been performed live by the group.
A tremendous performance, if you haven't seen this programme - first shown on BBCTV - this is well worth tuning in for.
